I submitted the following 6 shots for Singapore Young Photographer’s Award 2010.
I doubt these are award winning shots; but I guess there’s no harm in trying.
Nonetheless, hope you enjoy them.
Basically it’s just the facade of the Esplanade.
Shot this in beginning 2010 with EOS 400D.
Central Fire Station building taken along City Hall.
Shot this in April 2010 with EOS 7D.
This photo was taken at St. Joseph’s Parlour of Repose located along Bugis.
The photo captures the light trail from the masses holding out their candles in lieu of Good Friday.

A portrait shot taken against a door.
This portraiture hopes to capture the teenage angst within the model and highlight the trending alternative cultures.

This photo of Singapore Zoo’s white tiger was taken during the feeding time.
This shot was taken when the tiger was waiting in the waters for its food.
Captured by my EOS 400D back in 2009.
Submitted under Nature.
I managed to capture this beautiful flower, with unique layered petals, while roaming about in Singapore Zoo.

I’m so glad SYPA is finally over.
The hard part was printing and mounting the prints.
Spent quite a lot of money on printing and materials for mounting; yet alone time spent.
The really annoying thing is that SYPA won’t return us our mounted prints even if we do not win.
That’s like practically burning away money!
They should seriously go digital!
